Accomodations/Tutoring Services
If arrangements are required for a student with special needs, the student is responsible for notifying the instructor and showing appropriate documentation. All such requests will be honored. I believe in maintaining a strong relationship with the Center for Disability Services. My goal is to provide the opportunity for each student to succeed. If you are a special needs student, but have not been made aware of your rights, go to the Center for Disability Services (Parks Building) or call 388-9260. Also, all students should be aware that tutoring is available through the EvCC Tutoring Services (Rainer 119). Most students may be eligible for 2 hours each week of 'one on one' tutoring, but contact Tutoring to arrange the hours and conform eligibility. For many tutoring needs, there is also the Drop-In Tutoring Center (Rainer 119). While the price is right (free), availability of tutors may become an issue the longer you wait to ask for help. I strongly suggest you seek tutoring services early, if you perceive of the need; call 388-9356. Here is a link to the EvCC Tutoring Services page: EvCC Tutoring Center
